Britta Lee Shain’s Music

Like many contemporary Folk Singers today Britta Lee Shain’s music defies labeling with a single common genre. Instead, her songs explore a plethora of genres including folk, blues, alt-country, alternative rock, singer songwriter and even what might be characterized as protest songs. Often genre blended to create a distinctive eclectic sound Britta’s music is rooted in American musical traditions but not strictly defined by one. This relatively new and inventive exploration of musical styles by individual singer songwriters has created a category of its own called Americana.
